70 years

How would you like to live with another person for the next 70 years of your life? How do you know that the person you're interested in now can go through that 70 years with you? How do you pick that person? Is it fate or is it a choice? Or is it just what your heart tells you to do?

Yesterday I went to a Memorial Day celebration with my host parents at their sister's house. They were talking about a couple that they knew that had just celebrated their 70th anniversary. That's amazing. It's like a perfect marriage. Well, I surely don't think about getting married now but I just wonder what are the substances that made up this marriage. Is love enough? If not, what else?
